At Joint Tech, we believe technology can create a better future. We empower communities with sustainable solutions. Today, we celebrate a key milestone. Our products for partners have been chosen for California’s “Communities in Charge” program.
What is the “communities in charge” program?
The “Communities in Charge” program is a market acceleration initiative in California, funded by the California Energy Commission’s Clean Transportation Program. Implemented by CALSTART in collaboration with GRID Alternatives and Tetra Tech, the program provides up to $30 million in funding incentives to support the installation of Level 2 EV chargers across the state.
The program offers up to $30 million in funding incentives. It supports the installation of Level 2 EV chargers across the state. Priority is given to multi-unit dwellings, such as apartments, and community gathering places, including schools, religious institutions, parks, and libraries.
By expanding public charging access for residents without home chargers, the program promotes zero-emission vehicle adoption. It lowers greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants. It also improves air quality in communities.
